Paul Vigna has been writing on largely East Coast wines since 2008, first on his blog called The Wine Classroom and now for PennLive.com in Harrisburg. Off the record, it’s a welcome relief from his main job, handling breaking crime news at night. In addition, he has written features and news stories for Wine Industry Network and for the Lonely Planet “Wine Trails” book. By the time this competition is held, he will have organized and held six East Coast and Maryland winemaker summits.
