Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Desiree graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. In 2017,Desiree Harrison-Brown left her 9-to-5 corporate career in project management to pursue her love for wine education. She has several years’ experience in wine marketing, and sales, and has represented global brands as National Wine Ambassador.
Desiree has been featured on the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Blog, The Strategist, and in Wine Enthusiast Magazine. She is a wine instructor at the Napa Valley Wine Academy and teaches an entry-level wine course for Stanford University’s Continuing Studies Program. As a beneficiary of The Roots Fundscholarship, she is completing her WSET Diploma, a globally-recognized wine certification. Despite her achievements, it’s her down-to-earth approach and transparency with her audience that have made her a trusted name in the industry.
