Over 14+ years in the wine and hospitality industries. After graduating from Loyola University, he began his career at Boordy Vineyards where he became the Marketing and Events manager, but also volunteered with wine production and harvest as much as possible. Moved on to work for Foreman Wolf Restaurant group in high end retail, and then proceeded to open a wine bar in Baltimore as the wine director in 2016. From 2017 -2021 worked in sales for Opici Family Distribution, until finally leaving in 2021 to take a chance with a brand new Italian Importer “Wide Roots” In 2022 he received the prestige certification of “Vinitaly International Italian Wine Ambassador” where he passed the rigorous and challenging course through the Vinitaly Academy in Verona, Italy. Today he is part owner and portfolio manager for Wide Roots Imports and Distribution, who have built up a portfolio with a number of Italy’s Benchmark producers, as well as “new kids on the block” from up-and-coming regions. Wide Roots represents wines from 16 of Italy’s 20 regions, and the team is in Italy 3-4 times to visit these producers to constantly stay up to date on Vintages, strategies, and business growth. All the wineries they represent are family owned, biodynamic winemakers who make wines that best express the areas where they are produced.
