Eat. Drink. Local—Wine Week 2011

Maryland’s wine industry is absolutely bustling, and we are ecstatic to announce the first ever Maryland Wine Week where local restaurants and retailers will be featuring “Free State” wines––the wines grown right in our own back yard.

Check back here to see a listing of events, designed to celebrate Maryland Wine! Learn about the winemaker dinners, special wine pairings and tastings around the state. See which local restaurants and wine shops are participating in your neighborhood.

Maryland is uniquely situated on the East Coast, with three different types of land––coastal, plains, and mountainous––all providing themselves to farmers and vintners in order to create an incredibly diverse selection of wines.

The timing of Maryland Wine Week is perfect for when local produce is ripe and local wine is ready to be uncorked and paired with your favorite summer foods.

Interested restaurants and wine shops can email regina@marylandwine.com for details about becoming a partner.
