The Maryland Wine Festival® returns to the Carroll County Farm Museum for a single-day event! Join us for our 40th annual celebration of Maryland wine. Enthusiasts of local wine and fans of great local festivals are invited to enjoy the beautiful grounds of the Farm Museum while exploring delicious, local wine, shopping from juried artisans, and dancing to live music! This year’s event will take place on Saturday ONLY.
Each pass level for the 2024 Maryland Wine Festival® include admission to the Farm Museum’s festival grounds. Enjoy the living history of this 143-acre historic farm while taking in the festival’s sights, sounds, and tastes!
Pass holders may shop the juried artisan vendors, purchase food from hand-picked eateries, purchase glasses and bottles of wine from our retail shop, and enjoy live music. Stroll the grounds of this great venue and celebrate Maryland wine with us this September.

Enjoy an upgraded Maryland Wine Festival experience. The Explorer Pass includes admission to the Main Field, the Maryland Wine Explorer Village and includes:

The Carroll County Farm Museum is looking for volunteers to help with the 40th Annual Maryland Wine Festival! Volunteer positions include ID checkers, Ticket Scanners, Cooler Checks, Wine Glass Distributors & more. Early/morning shift volunteers will receive a free ticket to MWF to be used after completing their shift. ABOUT THE MARYLAND WINERIES ASSOCIATION
The Maryland Wineries Association, formed in 1984, is the non-profit trade association that represents the 80+ wineries in Maryland. The MWA is made up of a board of winery owners – and over 80 members representing wineries and associate members from across the state. MWA’s mission is to develop and expand the grape and wine industry in Maryland – through education and promotion.
WHAT CAN I BRING?
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, wagons, small pop-up tents (10′ x 10′, or smaller) and coolers! Prepare to claim your space and bring bottles and glasses of wine back to enjoy in the comfort of your chair or on your picnic blanket. We encourage you to patronize our eateries!
MWF 2024 Food/Drink Policy
- Guests may bring in outside food, all which must be contained in a single (1) approved clear bag
- Food items should resemble individual portions and not bulk quantities
- Outside beverages can include water only
- Frozen water bottles are prohibited for safety reasons. No glass containers are permitted.
Approved Bag Sizes (1 per person)
- One (1) gallon clear plastic freezer bag
No glass containers or outside alcohol are permitted at the Maryland Wine Festival®. All coolers are subject to inspection prior to entry.
MAY I BRING MY UNDERAGE CHILD?
The Maryland Wine Festival® is an event that is produced and programmed for adult attendees. Children are permitted to attend the Festival under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
Children, 12 years old and younger, are admitted FREE with an adult ticket holder.
Children, aged 13 to 20, require a valid “Designated Driver” pass. Passes will be required for admission.
MAY I BRING MY PET?
Due to size of the event and the historic nature of the Farm Museum grounds, the Maryland Wine Festival CANNOT accommodate pets. Pets are NOT allowed on the grounds nor can they be left in vehicles during The Maryland Wine Festival.
PARKING & DROP OFF INFORMATION
Festival-goers who are using Uber, Lyft or a private ride to arrive at the festival may be dropped at the Main Gate off Farm Museum Road. THIS IS A DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP POINT ONLY. THERE IS NO WAITING AREA AND VEHICLES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARK.
Parking is available on site.
Explorer Pass ticket holders, those who need handicapped parking and those who wish to enter through the Museum’s Main Gate on Farm Museum Road, please park in the Museum lots at 500 S. Center St., Westminster, MD 21157.
Please note, when the Museum parking lots reach capacity, they will be closed and all traffic diverted to the Carroll County Agriculture Center lot, adjacent to the back of the Museum. This includes Explorer Pass ticket holders and handicapped parking. We suggest coming early if you wish to park on the Museum grounds and enter through the Main Gate.
Those who wish to enter through Gates 5 or 6 at the rear of the Museum, please park in the Carroll County Ag Center Lot, 706 Agricultural Center Dr., Westminster, MD 21157.
A large handicapped parking area is offered on the Museum lot on a first come, first served basis.
